GMK subsidy

In 2026, the Municipality of Kraków provides subsidies for children in care.

The amount of the subsidy for each child residing in the Municipality of Kraków under the care of a nursery or children’s club, or a day carer in the period from 1 January 2026 to 31 August 2026 is PLN 2.90 (in words: two zlotys 90/100) per hour of care and in the period from 1 September 2026 to 31 December 2026 is PLN 1.90 (in words: one zloty 90/100) per hour of care.

In accordance with the agreement signed with the Municipality of Kraków, for the duration of the subsidy period, we reduce the monthly childcare fees by an amount no less than the subsidy received from the Municipality of Kraków for the child in question. The monthly reduction in childcare fees is calculated using the following formula: the number of hours of childcare provided to the child in a given month (based on the childcare agreement concluded with the parent, up to a maximum of 10 hours per day) multiplied by the applicable hourly rate—specifically, 2.90 PLN (in words: two zlotys and 90/100) per hour of care for the period from January 1, 2026, to August 31, 2026, and 1.90 PLN (in words: one zloty and 90/100) per hour of care for the period from September 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026.

For children with disabilities, the Krakow Municipality provides an additional subsidy of PLN 6 for each hour of childcare. This subsidy does not affect the parent's fees.

At the same time, we would like to inform you that the subsidy and the above-mentioned provisions apply only to children residing in the city of Krakow.

Any comments regarding the grants granted should be directed to the Policy Department

🥕 Vegetables or fruit: added to every meal, with a clear predominance of vegetables.
🥛 Calcium and vitamins: at least 2 servings of milk or valuable plant-based alternatives.
🥖 Variety: Products from all food groups, including whole grains.
🐟 What does the menu look like on a weekly basis?

The new recipes place great emphasis on the variety and naturalness of dishes:
🐟 Fish: served for dinner at least once a week.
🧆 Legume dishes: at least once a week, a 100% plant-based dinner (e.g. based on beans, lentils or chickpeas).

📊 Accurate calorie balance and alternatives
📐 Age-appropriate standards: we plan the caloric content of meals on a 10-day (decade) basis, strictly adapting it to the age of the children in the groups.
🍲 Adequate energy: meals served at kindergarten (breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack) cover 70–75% of a child’s daily energy needs.
🌱 For children on plant-based diets: for children who do not consume animal products, we provide nutritious alternative meals.

💚 We are proud to serve your children the highest quality meals that support their health, energy for play, and proper development!
